Introduction
Nate: I am here with my friend Ade Anifowose, who lives in the UK. Ade and I met in a series of classes called “For Such a Time as This” taught by Rev. Deborah L. Johnson. He has a really beautiful message that he shares with the world, so I wanted to get to know him even better.
Nate: Hi Ade. Thank you for joining us today!
Ade: I am grateful for this opportunity. Thank you for having me.
Spiritual Journey
Nate: I’m grateful for you. I know you have a wonderful ministry that you are sharing on Facebook. How did you get started on a spiritual path?
Ade: My journey started with a deep desire to follow a “call” I was feeling inside of me. “The Call,” nudged me to discover more about my life and life in general. I followed the guidance I received, which led me to Atlanta Ga, USA in 1993. In 1994 I found out about Hillside International Truth Center. And that was the beginning of a new life. The beginning of “the more” (a spiritual path) that was calling me.
Wisdom
Nate: Beautiful! What led you to develop a ministry, reaching out to the world?
Ade: It is interesting to hear you describe my work, as a ministry. I don’t always consider what I do as a ministry. To tell you the truth, that word used to trigger me; because of my dissatisfaction with the Christian religion. I used to only associate “ministry” to Christianity.
I don’t subscribe to the heaven and hell options that Christianity teaches. The idea that God who is so loving, in fact, loves unconditionally, but yet, He is going to decide if we go to heaven or hell after we die, was and is such a contraction of what unconditional love really is. Now, we all have the right to believe whatever we want to believe; however, as for me and my house, I am serving Love – Unconditional Love.
Ministry
Ade: Through the numerous trainings and classes in Metaphysics and the New Thought at Hillside International Truth Center and other organizations, I have come to understand that a ministry is a platform where one offers service to humanity. To minister is to attend to the needs of another. This act is bigger than any religion. To minister is an act of love, encoded in our DNA, our spiritual DNA. We all have the ability to minister unto each other.
Purpose and Vision
Nate: Thank you for this wisdom! What would you say is your purpose?
Ade: As a Healer, Spiritual Teacher, and a Mindset Life Coach, this is my work, this is my ministry. I use my gifts, talents, and skills to attend to the call for love. Every struggle, discomfort, heartbreak is simply a call for love. And my work is to facilitate the process of embrace, the deep love within.
I got very clear about this, about 25 years ago. Since then, I have not looked back. When you are clear about what your purpose, mission, or reason for being on this planet is, it is truly a rebirth, an awakening. You start to see yourself differently and see the world differently. You begin to see and accept that you are part of a divine plan.
Awakening
Ade: As you continue to follow the impulses of awakening, your heart keeps opening to more of what Life is seeking to be in and through you. Then you recognize your oneness with all beings. You realize that life is not happening to you, it is happening through, and as you. And every experience becomes an opportunity to grow and/or recognize your growth.
This is exciting. It wakes up everything inside of you and you know, on a deeper level, that your life is for something bigger and it is even beyond definition. Your mindset and heart-set expand and there is no turning back. Truth is, there is no “back” to go to, because every transformative experience, stretches and changes us.
Transformation and Insight
Nate: Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Ade. What was your journey to get to this consciousness in your life?
Ade: This is what happened to me. I was transformed. I started to see with new eyes and the only choice I had was to keep following the guidance I was receiving from Spirit. Spirit to me, is the Power and Presence that is orchestrating all of life. Some call It, God, Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, Father-Mother God, Baba, The Infinite, The Divine, Universe, etc. Personally, I believe that this Power, this Presence has no name, and, It is known by many names because we- humans, have to have a frame of reference. A way to identify who or what we are in a relationship with.
I find it amazing that people commit all sorts of evil acts because they are so attached to their understanding of who and what God is, and the name of “their” God. There is only One. It is the creator of all beings. It is the Breath that is breathing each and every one of us. It is Breath! This Breath (of Life) is what inspires me to do what I do.
